Autumn term Stewart Fleming Primary School (RECEPTION)

The Autumn Term French Club at Stewart Fleming Primary School (Reception) offers a fun and engaging introduction to the French language. Throughout the term, children are introduced to simple words and phrases through songs, games, stories, and creative activities.
In the first weeks, pupils learn basic greetings and how to say their name. As the term progresses, they explore numbers, colours, and everyday vocabulary such as animals and classroom objects. Activities include singing familiar songs in French, playing interactive games, and taking part in short role-play exercises.
Towards the end of the term, children revisit and practise what they have learned, building confidence in speaking and listening. The focus remains on enjoyment, participation, and developing curiosity about languages in a supportive and playful environment.
